About Me

I use a combination of acrylic paint, chalk and oil pastels, graphite, ink and whatever else I can get my hands on. I prefer canvas and paper substrates, but occassionally enjoy working on wooden panels.

I studied art under the tutelage of Nicholas Wilton in his Art2Life program and Julia Ricketts at Gage Academy in Seattle, as well as completing online abstract art workshops with east coast-based artist Jenny Nelson and Australian-based artist Laura Horn.

Despite the fluidity of my approach, I have a deep appreciation for grids and structured forms—likely a reflection of my work as a digital designer.

I find comfort in the order of squares and rigid lines, even though this preference might not always be apparent in the final paintings. Embracing the unexpected, while simultaneously using a grid to orient me, is the key to my process. I find the order, then break it.

Comfort in Squares

I approach my art with fluidity and expressiveness, allowing my intuition to guide me, informed by the techniques I've refined over time.

This approach invites the beauty of randomness into my process, resulting in pieces that are both intentional and serendipitous.
